Slings made of polyamide rope are used to lift and move various loads. The main scope of use is construction and industrial enterprises and is also widely used in offshore operations. Fiber rope slings are flexible, hold well and do not spoil the surface of the load.
A sling from a polyamide rope is distinguished by high tensile strength, low wear, resistance to shock and jerking. Polyamide sling is almost not subject to decay, the harmful effects of the environment, sea water and alkalis, so it can be successfully used on marine vessels. At the same time, it should be noted that the polyamide rope is rather strongly electrified and unstable to acids. The elongation of the sling under load can be up to 20-25% of the initial length.
Benefits:
• low dead weight;
• safety (do not injure the slinger due to the low weight and the absence of sharp burrs and protruding wires as in rope slings);
• compactness, flexibility, elasticity (easy to fold, occupying a minimum volume, and most importantly, also easily take their original form after unpacking);
• do not damage fragile and delicate goods;
Disadvantages:
• easily damaged by sharp edges of the load;
• are operable only strictly in temperature conditions from -40 to +100 ° C.
ATTENTION! Basic rules for working with slings:
• Before using the sling, check the maximum passport lifting capacity of the sling with the actual weight of the load lifted;
• Use slings strictly in accordance with their carrying capacity;
• Do not use slings with damage or defects;
• Do not use slings at ambient temperatures below -40 ° C and above +100 ° C;
• Slings should be kept dry and clean, away from heat and direct sunlight;
