Combined sling

Combined slings of the CCS type have a chain bearing part in the center and elements from a steel rope along the edges of the product. Thanks to this design, a combined chain sling is lighter than a similar chain, as well as stronger, more durable and more flexible than a similar rope sling. The symbiosis of flexibility and strength makes it possible to use the combined slings very productively when loading and moving metal products or goods with sharp edges. When working with such loads, the service life of combined slings is several times longer than that of standard rope slings.

Advantages of a combined chain sling:

• High degree of flexibility.
• Wear resistance. The chain is not afraid of the sharp edges of the transported load.
• Components used in the manufacture of slings are resistant to corrosion, temperature extremes, aggressive and chemical influences.
• For the manufacture of combined slings, a high-strength round link chain of grade 8 and a steel rope with increased breaking strength are used. The use of high-quality materials eliminates the possibility of breaking the sling, even with a sharp increase in load.
• The chain part ensures the longevity of the sling, the rope part allows to ease the sling and reduce the cost of the product. Also, the rope part of the sling provides shock-absorbing properties under dynamic loads, preventing chain stretching or breaking.

Disadvantages:

• Heavier than rope slings of a similar design.
• Damage fragile loads, as well as carefully prepared surfaces.

Where A is the lifting capacity of the sling in tons; B is the length of the chain in millimeters; C is the total length of the sling in millimeters.

Example: Sling SKTS 2.0 / 2000/4000 -2 pcs. (combined sling with a chain carrying capacity of 2 tons, the length of the chain part 2 meters, the total length of 4 meters, in the amount of 2 pcs.)
