Steel rope according to ГОСТ 2688-80 is one of the most common types of ropes. The rope is characterized by a large supporting surface, increased wear resistance, and a high fill factor. It is used in hoisting mechanisms and hoisting-and-transport machines (cranes, hoists, crane beams, excavators, hoisting units), as well as for the manufacture of slings.
