The connecting link or Kenter shackle is used to connect intermediate bows or other elements of the anchor chain to each other. The link has a special collapsible design, which provides a reliable and safe connection. There are three categories of strength of the Canter links: 1 - normal, 2 - increased strength, 3 - high strength. The link strength category should be equal to or higher than the intermediate link strength category.
Kenter's shackle complies with ISO 1704, is accompanied by a certificate of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS). On each link there is a marking containing the following information - certificate number, caliber, strength category, brand of the manufacturer and brand of RMRS.
