Steel rope in accordance with GOST 7665-80 has 25 wires in each of the six strands, due to which greater flexibility, elasticity and service life of the rope are achieved. The rope has a large bearing surface, increased wear resistance, and a high filling factor. It is used in hoisting mechanisms and hoisting-and-transport machines (cranes, telphers, crane beams, excavators, hoisting machines, trawlers, earth-moving machines, mine hoists), as well as for the manufacture of slings. It is advisable to use steel rope GOST 7665-80 with strong abrasive wear, aggressive environment, increased loads, high requirements for flexibility.
